The scenery of Voyageurs National Park is
dominated by the water that filled the sculpted basins in the rocky
masses, forming over 30 lakes. Four of them cover nearly
40% of the 106000 hectares of Voyageur. Hundreds of rocky islands
and a myriad of little bays decorate the borders of these aquatic
expanses. In the center you find Kabetogama Peninsula of which
37500 hectares is an uneven landscape which no road crosses.
Voyageur is the habitat of bears, mooses, wolves, stags,
beavers and numerous species of birds.
