Splendid Afternoon Strolls

  • Lake Mead National Recreation Area (NRA) is approximately 25 miles from Las Vegas. It is the water reservoir formed by the Hoover Dam. The road leading to the site is magnificient. Think of bringing a picnic basket since restaurants are not always open. You will find nautical activities such boat and houseboat rentals at the marinas. Lake Mead National Recreation Area

  • Hoover Dam is located 30 miles from Las Vegas. The Hoover Dam was built in 1935 to channel the raging Colorado River, form a reservoir of drinking water and secondarily, supply electricity. 35 minute guided tours available in the heart of the building.

  • Grand Canyon National Park can be visited by plane or helicopter from Las Vegas. Several companies offer this trip sometimes combined with a sightseeing of the Hoover Dam. Official Site

  • Valley of Fire State Park is 40 miles from Las Vegas. Red rock deserts and sculpted canyons created by centuries of erosion. The park is opened every day from 8:30AM to 4:30PM, except for Thanksgiving (4th Thursday of November) and December 25th. Tel. (702) 397 2088. Official Site

From Las Vegas to Bryce Canyon in 4 Days

A few hours by car from Las Vegas, you will discover in Utah, two of the most beautiful national parks of the United States: Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park. In summer or winter we recommend taking this four day tour.

  • Day 1From Las Vegas to Zion National Park.
      Zion National Park is located at approximately two and a half hours by road from Las Vegas. The city of Springdale is located at the entrance of the park. There, you will find several comfortable hotels. If you are travelling during weekends or in the summer months, make reservations before leaving Las Vegas. During your visit to Zion National Park follow the trails leading to the summit of the canyon, your efforts will be rewarded by the exceptional beauty of the scenery.

  • Day 2 - From Zion to Bryce Canyon National Park.
      Bryce Canyon National Park is two hours driving from Zion. If you travel between March and October, make your hotel reservations at least three months in advance at the National Park Inn, the Bryce Canyon Lodge. If not available, choose the Best Western Ruby’s Inn at the entrance of the park.

  • Day 3 Bryce Canyon National Park. During your visit to Bryce Canyon, follow the trails designed by the Rangers. Walking down the canyon is a spectacular experience. At the top walk to from one site to another (Read Article).

  • Jour 4Return to Las Vegas, about 5 hours driving.

Same Trip in Two Days

  • Day 1 Las Vegas, Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. Departure from Las Vegas at 7:00 AM. Arrival at Zion around 9:30 AM. Visit the National Park and eat on site. 4:30PM departure for Bryce Canyon National Park. Arrival around 7:30PM. Inform the hotel of your late arrival.

  • Day 2Return from Bryce Canyon National Park to Las Vegas Visit Bryce Canyon at daybreak. Departure at 3:00PM for Las Vegas. Estimated time of arrival, around 8:30 PM.
